The pleasure of Learning Spanish

Studying a new Language generates pleasure and pleasure facilitates learning.

A study carried out in October 2014 by The University of Barcelona (Spain), The Otto von Guericke University (Germany) and The Biomedical Research Institute of Bellvitge (IDIBELL), determined that learning a new language produces as much pleasure in the brain as eating chocolate, making love, gambling and using drugs.

The areas of the brain that are activated with sex, food, play and drugs are the same when we learn a new language.

In order to reach this conclusion, the team of researchers invited 36 adults to learn words of a new language and to play games of chance, while their brains were monitored by Magnetic Resonance. It showed that when people study a new language they experience impulses of pleasure and reward.

They also found that when people study information which is emotionally important for them, it is easier to learn and they learn faster. They have greater concentration and better memory.

Joy, relaxation and pleasure are emotions that increase attention and facilitate learning.

The results of this study have been an inspiration for Dive Into Spanish to develop the immersion classes in Colombia and Miami. We provide students with a safe, enjoyable and fun academic environment to attract their interest. It facilitates interaction with the teacher and new people, opens their minds to new ideas and experiences, and motivates to continue in their process of studying and speaking Spanish.

The more you can enjoy your learning process, the more information you can assimilate and learn.

Who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself. You can find him on Facebook, Twitter and Google +.
